How to propose a motion to the Annual General Meeting (AGM)

All members of Amnesty Norway can popose a motion to the AGM. This means that you alone or as a group can propose organisational changes, or changes in what Amnesty Norway should work with.

How do you go about it?

We ask anyone who wish to propose a motion to the AGM to use the template in the document below.

Send the filled in template to [email protected].

You will be contacted by the editorial committee as sonn as they have gone through your motion.

The task of the editorial committee is to assist in the formulation and development of motions. More information about committee memebers will be published here soon.

National strategy

At the AGM 2021, Amnesty Norway's national strategy for 2022-2030 was passed. You will find the strategy (in Norwegian) in the document below.

Important deadlines for motions

If you wish to propose a change to the statues (Norwegian), your proposal has has to be received by the board at the latest 3 months prior to the AGM : 19 january 2024.

Ordinary motionproposals, which do not recuire changes to the statues, have a deadline 6 weeks prior to the AGM: 8 march 2024.

An urgent motion can be proposed after the deadline, until 3 days prior to the AGM: 16 april 2024

We recommend that you send in your proposal as early as early as possible. That way you can get help from the editorial committee to formulate and finalize your motion.
