Work is a human right. Support women in Afghanistan on May 1st

The workers' day is approaching. This year we will use this day to shine a spotlight on the fact that women in Afghanistan are deprived of the right to work and education. Together we will raise the voices of Afghan women.

In the action guide, you will find tips and information on how you can raise awareness of this where you live.

Did the focus on the WC in Qatar contribute to any changes?

For well over 12 years, Amnesty has worked to expose violations of migrant workers' human rights in Qatar, and in the last years before the football World Cup, we engaged the world in a campaign that demanded that the football authorities and Qatar take responsibility for changing the situation and compensating the victims .

There has been some progress to track, but we see that, so to speak, all these changes in practice work far too poorly to be able to safeguard the human rights of the migrant workers in Qatar.

Read more about how Amnesty contributed to changes, and what kind of challenges migrant workers who have worked or still work in Qatar have, in the link below.

On the same page, you will also find tips for group structure (positions) and guidelines for groups. It is also wise to think that you have a small period of overlap in the positions for sharing experiences and tips so that you get a good transfer of expertise!
