22. september får vi besøk av Abdullahi Hassan, etterforsker og forfatter av Amnestys ferske rapport om Sudan, og Flavia Mwangovya, Deputy Director ved Amnestys Sør- og Øst-Afrika- kontor i Nairobi.

Abdullahi Hassan er en kenyansk jurist og menneskerettighetsforkjemper. Han har jobbet i Amnesty International siden 2018, hvor han har gjennomført omfattende undersøkelser av menneskerettighetsbrudd, blant annet krigsforbrytelser i Sudan og Somalia, angrep på ytringsfriheten og konsekvensene av COVID-19 for Somalias helsesystem.

Abdullahi og Flavia ønsker å møte aktive i Amnesty for å presentere funnene i Sudan-rapporten og snakke om den pågående krisen i landet.

On 22 September at 18:00, Abdullahi, Amnesty will host a webinar with Abdullahhi Hassan, investigator and author of Amnestys recent report on Sudan, and Flavia Mwangovya, Deputy Director at Amnesty Internationals East and Southern Africa Regional office in Nairobi, while they are on an advocacy trip to Norway.

Abdullahi Hassan is a Kenyan lawyer and human rights advocate. He has worked with Amnesty International since 2018, conducting in-depth research on a range of human rights issues, including war crimes in Sudan and Somalia, violations of freedom of expression, and the impact of COVID-19 on Somalia’s health care system.

Together, Abdullahi and Flavia would like to meet people who are active in Amnesty to discuss the findings of the new Sudan report and the ongoing crisis in the country.
