Join the Nordic Youth Annual Meeting (NYAM)
The Nordic Youth's Annual Meeting (NYAM) is hosted by the Nordic Youth Council.
We offer a fun, inspiring, safe and educational meeting space for youth activists from all over the Nordics. At the NYAM, you will learn different campaigning methods, take part in workshops and lecture, and plan your own activsm. You get to spend four days with other young activists from the Nordic countries and create connections that can last a lifetime.
This years theme is "Resist: Exposing Propaganda, Challenging Cencorship & Defending Human Rights"
The aplication deadline is May 11th
At the NYAM you will get to:
- Discuss how the autoritarian changes are affecting human rights in various ways
- Learn methodes and skills from other activists.
- Meet, ask questions and learn from people with lived experience and experts in the field.
- Plan your activism: Create an activism stunt that can be carried out in all countries simultaneously after returning home.
Costs and details:
Transport, food and housing is covered by Amnesty.
Who can apply?
Amnesty will send three activists from Norway, in addition to the Norwegian representatives in the Nordic youth council. Here's who should apply:
- 18 to 24 years old
- Active in Amnesty or keen to get involved
- Interested in making a postive impact with your activism
- Prepared to attend the whole program and participate actively in the workshops and activities
- Eager to continue your activism after coming back to Norway
