Demonstration and Torch Parade for Liu Xiaobo

Amnesty International celebrates the Nobel Peace Prize winner and focuses on Human Rights in China 9 and 10 December. A number of prominent Chinese Human Rights activists will participate.

Amnesty International in cooperation with several other organisations will focus on Human Rights in China and The Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo in the coming week.

Demonstration
9th December 3pm outside the Chinese Embassy in Tuengen Allé 2B.
The banners will read "Free Liu Xiaobo!" og "Free all prisoners of conscience in China!". The Embassy will receive ten thousands of signatures from Amnesty Internationals petition for Liu Xiaobo, collected in Norway as well as internationally.

Breakfast Seminar (organisers: PEN International and Amnesty International)
10th December 9-1am in Amnesty’s premises in Grensen 3, third floor.
Key-note speakers followed plenary discussions.
The seminar is open to the press and the public.

Torch Parade for Liu Xiaobo
10th December 6pm.
The torch parade will start at Youngstorget and stop outside Grand Hotel, where a picture of Liu Xiaobo will be projected unto the hotels facade to mark the absence of the Nobel Peace Prize Winner.

Torch parades will also be organised in Trondheim and Kristiansand.
